Day of Loviste summer is held on the first sabbath in August, that is the traditional Fisherman’s Night which has a full daily program, a lot of tourists are coming especially for the Loviste summer feast.

This is the program: the day before the feast, on Friday evening around the whole Loviste bay fireballs are set throughout the coast, the bay gets a unique illumination and after that starts firework which inaugurates the day of Loviste summer.
On Saturday around 10 am, which is the custom of our ancestors, there are grilled sardines for lunch, a few local villagers are grilling and feeding the hungry tourists, and with sardines a glass of good Peljesac wine fits perfectly.

At 11 pm right after sardines, begins the rope pulling discipline, locals against tourists (last time the guests where better - Locals do not work in the field as they used to and haven't got the power as before "-).
At Noon begins the struggle for the Prosciutto on oiled beam, only the most skillful competitor will take the Prosciutto with him.
After the Prosciutto, there is a Donkey race that was the long time tradition in Loviste, but unfortunately there is no local Donkeys today,
so there hasn't been a Donkey race for a couple of years.
In the afternoon, from 5 to 8 pm there is no events so that the people can rest a bit and get ready for the main festival, which begins around
10 pm. There is a live band playing, a large bar, dance floor, chairs and tables and a lot of people ready for a party.
Tomorrow (Sunday) in the afternoon, starts the football match between the locals and the tourists.
